Where can I get information on victim services?

The Attorney General's Office oversees SAVIN, a Statewide Automated Victim Identification Notification system. The system is active for victim notification.

Is compensation available to victims of crime?

Yes. SDCL 23A-28B established a Crime Victim's Compensation Program. The program is administered by the Department of Social Services. You can access information here.
