At the end of September 2016:

57 percent of the adult female inmates were serving time for drug offenses. Less than one-fifth (16%) of the female inmates are serving time for a violent offense.

Nearly half the male inmates (48%) were serving time for a violent offense. Less than a quarter (23%) of the male inmates are serving time for drug offenses.

Inmates are involved in various projects to give back to society, whether it be repairing eyeglasses or refurbishing wheelchairs to send all over the world, training dogs for obedience or to be service dogs for disabled veterans, and building handicapped ramps for private residences.
