The SDDOC Honor Guard is a volunteer team of selected elite staff used to represent the agency in public relation events including facility groundbreaking, dedication and decommissioning, funerals, and other community functions.
Applicants must pass a physical skills test; are required to learn marching, rifle movements, and flag folding; and must pass an oral interview demonstrating their knowledge of drill and ceremony as it pertains to the Honor Guard.
